Hace un tiempo, un tal Warren Stutt elaboró un programa para decodificar directamente los datos del FDR (registrador de datos de vuelo) del AA77. Consiguió ajustar los valores de forma que coincidieran con los datos facilitados por el NTSB, pero con las ventajas adicionales de que incluía la decodificación de más datos además de esos, y que incluía unos segundos más de vuelo que los que el NTSB proporcionó.

Utilizando los datos extraídos con el programa de Stutt, los Pilots for 9/11 Truth extrajeron una curiosa conclusión: la puerta de la cabina del vuelo 77 no se abrió en todo el tiempo que duró el vuelo, razón por la cual los secuestradores no podrían haber accedido a los mandos.

Pero, como siempre, los detalles son importantes y lo que no se dice a veces es más importante que lo que sí se dice. Lo que no mencionan los PfT es que el registrador de datos de vuelo almacenaba unas 52 horas en total, lo que supone unos 12 vuelos anteriores, y en ninguno de ellos se registra variación alguna en ese parámetro. Es decir, que o los pilotos no salieron en 52 horas de la cabina, o simplemente ese dato no era registrado.

Y es muy probable que no fuera registrado, ya que resulta que la lista de parámetros del FDR proviene de un 757-300, que es una versión más avanzada que el 757-200 que cubría el vuelo 77, y algunos de ellos no existen en el 757-200. El NTSB especificó ese parámetro dentro de una lista que contenía parámetros cuyo funcionamiento no estaba confirmado o que no funcionaban.

Así que tenemos, una vez más, un caso de ocultación de información para favorecer la versión deseada.
